We are the factory that prints, punches and tests the glasses.
QIWEI is the trading name of Cangnan County Qiwei Craft Co., Ltd, a solar viewer manufacturer in Cangnan, Zhejiang, China. Not a trading company, not an agent. Filter lamination, CMYK printing, die-cutting and batch testing all happen under our own roof, which is why the price you get is the price the factory quotes.
What we actually do
We make one thing and we make a lot of it: paper-frame solar viewers that meet EN ISO 12312-2:2015(E) and are certified under EU Regulation 2016/425 as PPE Category II. Five stock print designs, QW-SOZ1 through QW-SOZ5, share the same filter and the same frame construction. The difference between them is the printing, nothing else. Beyond those five, we print whatever artwork you send us.
Filter
Aluminium-coated black polymer, laminated in-house. The metal reflects, the polymer absorbs. Shelf life 3 years.
Frame
Food-grade paperboard, die-cut. Four-colour CMYK printing across the full frame.
Custom print
Your artwork on our die-cut template. Warnings and manufacturer details must stay on the frame.
Traceability
Every production run carries a lot number, traceable from the filter roll to the carton.
Why we test twice
Eclipse glasses are the one product where a cosmetic defect and a safety defect look identical to the buyer. A pinhole in the filter is invisible on a retail shelf and dangerous in the field. So we do not test once at the end.

The next total solar eclipse crosses southern Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Somalia. Totality near Luxor runs to 6 minutes 23 seconds, the longest over land until 2114, and the path passes over Cadiz, Malaga, Tangier, Luxor, Jeddah and Mecca. Every one of those is a market where demand arrives in a narrow window and disappears the day after.
We watched that pattern play out on 12 August 2026, when we shipped more than 40 million pairs into Europe, mostly to Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany and Latvia. What separated the distributors who sold out from the ones left holding stock was almost entirely how early they placed the order. Capacity, not price, runs out first.
How we sell
Direct, on FOB Ningbo or Shanghai terms, from a minimum of 2,000 pieces. Everything is made to order and we hold no finished stock, so the lead time in your quotation is a real production schedule rather than a warehouse pick. Pricing is a straight quantity ladder with no negotiation theatre in it, published in full to registered business buyers.
